Does anyone have or know of a large forum (say, >40K members,  >250K posts) that uses mybb?  How does it compare to other products for larger forums?

I've yet to see a large forum running myBB but I am sure they are out there.  http://www.big-boards.com has a list of the web's busiest forums (not sure how they know which are the busiest) and there are no myBB forums listed.  There's a challenge if you want one?  Grin

I did see one larger forum on myBB.  I cannot recall the url but it was about NCAA sports.  It had many tens of thousands of members.  I am sure there are others out there.  Be interested to see whether anyone else knows of any too. Smiley

The myBB community forum (http://community.mybboard.net/index.php) as 110K posts and 8K members which is not a bad size.

Also Wii Loaded (http://www.wiiloaded.com/index.php) has 165K posts but 4.5K members.

There must be others ... ?

MyBB is very useful and can handle larger forums just as well as the bigger better boards. The updates they've released are just as good if not better than vBulletin and IPB.

Interesting, sainshea.  I've never had any problems with myBB performance-wise.  What size DB did you have and do you think it could it have been due to others factors, such us mySQL optimisation etc.?
