#1. AD Management MOD
 Why? I recommend this because pretty much people who makes their own forums. Plans to make some revenue, so i'd suggest getting this because you can add ADS from Adsense or Yahoo ADS. Also they have options to be posted on header, footer, and even in posts!

#2. SMF Shoutbox
 Why? A way to get your members interactive on your forum will be a SMF shoutbox because without a way to communicate with people, it makes the forum a little boring and makes people leave. So this is a great way to get people involved!

#3. Tiny Portal
 Why? You need a portal so people can get to the front page to see all the latest news before going into the forum so they know the forum is well updated and keeps them updated on announcements you want to add to the forum and also updates! Very important to people!

I have Ad Management already and it's nice. I just downloaded Shoutbox but the Tiny Portal there is no download link for but there's a note saying "Suspended until a more stable version is reached."

I would also recommend the regbar and PostCountWarning mods. The regbar shows a short message to all guests about your forum. So you can state some of the benefits of joining the forum etc.

The postcountwarning displays a really annoying large message when members are below specified post counts. This encourages members to post when they first join.

Haha, combined these two mods can help you to convert guests into members, and members into regular posters! Good luck. Wink

I am using Ad Mod for SMF. It was not as easy as presumed to use it. I had seen a lot of duplications in codes and I had to edit all files. I think we have to work a lot on each MOD before to see it in action.

There are only 3 mods listed so far and I know there will be many more. I think there are countless Mods as we can browse on mods forum of smf. I need more reviews about mods here so please keep it going.
