There was recently a new release of the GOLD version of phpBB3, its very nice forum, great features! Plus, it looks alot better then the phpbb2 design!

Hurrah!  After many years it has finally reached a release version.  I have yet to try it but if it lives up to expectations then it should be a worthy competitor.

Has anyone else tried it?

Can you write us a little review of it?  How it compares with v2 and other forum packages?  I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, so I'd be happy to hear other forum owners' views on it.
