Does Punbb run faster than other packages ? Smiley

I know it is a lightweight package.

yes, punbb is know for being fast and lightweight. i have used it and liked it however due to its lightweight nature it lacked some of the features we take for granted on other packages

PunBB is very fast and as said, lightweight. Although it is lacking necessary features such as "Private Messaging", there are hundreds of mods (example: installing private messaging) that can be easily installed on PunBB that give you the same features as say Phpbb.

Being almost all php, it is extremely  fast depending on what version your host's php is. But there isnt a drastic change in versions, as far as I know. Yes, punbb is used because loadtimes are immensely faster.
