I have used myBB for a good time now and it looks like inherent SE friendly urls are slated for v1.4,  Until then, is anyone using a reliable third party hack to generate SE friendly urls?

The best I have found is here:  http://spicefuse.com/  It includes a good robots.txt, mod_rewrite for SE friendly urls and a few other enhancements. Smiley

Yes, I can agree with this.  I have used the spicefuse hack and definitely recommend it although you might want to tweak the robots.txt

Nice thanks for the hack!

I will definitely have to try it on my forum.

Hi,
I have visited mybb sites that have the title of the thread listed in the URL. I did not realize this was a "hack" Cheesy

My first impressions were, OH, This is so nice!  That's why I have been sort of interested in the mybb because of it showing words instead of f?=22 type urls.

So, there will be a release of mybb coming out that has this alread implemented in it?  I realize your post was in May, but I don't see that you've posted any other info on the number 4 version (I'll keep looking).

I am leaning way towards mybb for now!

It looks as though v1.4 might be released about February 2008

I use spicefuse on my two MyBB forums and I like it a lot.
