what's the most you've made up till now, using  any sort of ads?

I personally haven't made too much yet, blogs don't always make a lot, unless TONS of people read it.

I make about $50 a day from affiliate marketing and about $25 a day from adsense. If you have few visitors I would recommend affiliate marketing

I am still going towards my first Google Adsense cheque. I think first cheque always takes some time but after having a steady traffic, we always earn a lot.

The bad thing about using Adsense on forums is that they have a low CTR.
But I guess that's just fine if you have a lot of active members.
