I hear that forums have very low click through rates. That means that PPC like AdSense won't make as much money on forums. What does work well on forums?

I also heard that but don't know the reason. I think adds which will be displayed have low cost bids. This might be only one reason.

Advertisers always filter their preference for showing their ads on sites or forums. As all of us know sites have more demanding traffic so there are better click rates. On the other hand forums traffic can be distinguished as false or fake that's why advertisers pay less for forum clicks.
