I run a dedicated server now.  But for shared hosting, I have used DreamHost, AngryHosting and GoDaddy - I never had problems with either of them.

I like Surpass Hosting (www.surpasshosting.com). I have 10 domains hosted under one account. They are also great if you have a forum and run cron jobs or custom scraping scripts

Godaddy is pretty decent but sometimes with them it can be the luck of the draw. You might end up on an oversold server with some issues.

Hmmm... I have tried twice to reach their web site and it has been unreachable.  Might be a pass. :S
