I was just curious to know that how many forums do you run?
I currently run only 1 teen forums and am looking to start off a webmaster forums. For that I've started a webmaster Blog project and forums will be an addon to it. Hope you like the idea Smiley

I do not run any forums currently. However, when I post at other forums, it gives me some mental push towards owning one. So I am just thinking about it Tongue
Is it really difficult to make forum active?

Right now I am actively running two, and have four others running on auto pilot - thanks to some awesome, passionate mods:)

making a forum successful is a major task so only one at a time for me. i commend anyone who tackles more than two at a time from scratch. i suppose it is a little different if you a collaborating or if you buy them ready made with some membership

i currently run 2 forums right now

http://hdrphotos.net - the site is dedicated to HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography..
http://canonites.com - a site for all Canon photographers around the world..

the good thing about these sites is it's not just a forum... it's a full blown site and the forums are just a part of the site. Smiley

I use to run a few forums. However, it takes so much effort and time that I had to let all my other websites go except for one and just focus on that at the moment. I would like to develop a few more and run them in the future if time permits.

I'm only running one forum right now. Next month, I'm thinking of launching another one. I have several ideas now.

I only run one forum, and it's enough for me. I would rather work hard to develop it and not try to start more forums. Anyway, my forum is part of a website that has many other features, so I doubt I have enough time to even think about running other forums.

Agreed. I would rather put more time into one forum than another.

It's sad, because people make one forum and when it doesn't get a lot of posts in a day, they abandon it and make a new one. V.V

I run 11 forums, but some of them are still being started, in that they have little to no activity. I only have 1 forum that I consider active, and I spend time on it every day.

That sounds like a lot of work, borntoforum!  Good luck to you Smiley  Are you able to leverage the traffic and user base from your established forum to try to invigorate the others?

Just the one!  And to say that it is "running" is a bit of an overstatement Cheesy  It is new and we are always looking for new members...
