Paid Posting

Has anyone here used a company for paid posting? Was it worth it? What were the benefits and what would you recommend someone considering using paid posting should look out for?
I am strongly considering using paid posting to kickstart a new forum. This'd be the first time and I want to maximize the effectiveness of it.

i've used paid posting before both individuals and companies. the results were mixed. the problem is that my forums are specific niches and paid forum posters usually do better for general type forums where specialist knowledge is not required. from the individuals i have used, i keep in touch with ones that did a good job and occasionally still employ them on short term posting jobs.

I am a member of a couple paid posting sites like wiredflame.com and paidpostingtools.com. You can try them out, they have different rates for all your needs, give them a shot!

I think that if you get a poster who knows what he/she is talking about then it can be a good way to kickstart a forum. Not a great use of money once it is kickstarted though.

I freelance for forum boosting, In my honest opinion, its a simple way to make money, as long as you find someone worthy of your forum (You know wont spam, posts on topic, has legit posts, etc) It is definitely worth the money.

A while ago I tried ForumAdvantage and the result was that I paid in advance via PayPal and didn't hear of them before I informed PayPal about possible fraud! The guy claimed that my messages ended up in his spam filter! That's what I call unprofessional!

If you don't really care about the quality of the posts, try companies.
But individuals usually know more.
